The Technology Acceptance Research Group for Energy Technologies (TARG:ET) is an interdisciplinary research group led by Prof. Chris Jones (Professor of Environmental Psychology) at the University of Portsmouth, UK.

 

We are dedicated to better understanding the social acceptance of established and emerging energy and environmental technologies.

We advocate for the meaningful and timely inclusion of societal perspectives into the research, development, demonstration and deployment of energy supply and demand side technologies, and their related policies.

We promote the pursuit and application of rigorous, theoretically-informed research, with social science at its core.
